The Largest Steel Producer in the Czech Republic

The rich tradition of industrial metallurgical production in Třinec dates back to the first half of the 19th century. The first blast furnace was lit on 1 April 1839. Since then, Třinecké železárny has built a stable position on the market for steel and other metallurgical products with exports to many countries around the world.

In 1996, the Moravia Steel joint stock company became the majority owner of TŽ, which ensures the purchase of raw materials and other materials for production, sales of products to the domestic market and abroad, and international transport.

The Moravia Steel Group and Třinecké železárny continuously continue to modernize technologies and develop a product portfolio with higher added value. At the same time, it is preparing with full responsibility for low-carbon steel production in a sustainable manner, with the aim of actively contributing to environmental protection.

Třinecké železárny, founded in 1839, is the successor of a long tradition of metallurgical production in Těšín Silesia in the Czech Republic for more than 180 years.
